There are several options for honoring your loved ones at Agudas Israel Congregation:
- Yahrzeits honor the anniversary of the Hebrew date of passing of a loved one
- Tree of Life leaves and stones may be inscribed to commemorate a special life event or honor a loved one
- Guardians of the Flame plaques are inscribed with a special message and displayed outside the main sanctuary
- Endowment Fund – make a donation to the endowment fund and we will send our a letter of acknowledgement to the individual of your choosing in honor/memory of a loved one
- Agudas Israel Cemetery
Bronze yahrzeit plaques are displayed in our sanctuary to memorialize the yahrzeit of beloved members of the congregation. English and Hebrew names as well as English and Hebrew dates of death are displayed. A small bulb illuminates the plaque on the anniversary of the Hebrew date of death, representing the burning of the yahrzeit candle.
Contact our office to order a yahrzeit plaque for you loved one. The plaques cost $225.
Tree of Life
The tree of life is a work of art created by New Jersey artist Emmanuel Milstein and is on display in our social hall. It contains inscribed leaves and stones commemorating special life events and memories of loved ones.
